PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine which can improve efficiency of sewing operations.SOLUTION: A sewing machine comprises a main motor and a cloth feed motor. The main motor moves a sewing needle up and down. The main motor moves a feed dog in vertical direction. The cloth feed motor moves the feed dog in cross direction. A CPU of the sewing machine acquires thickness of a cloth. When the thickness of the cloth is thinner than a threshold, the CPU controls and drives the main motor and the cloth feed motor and drives the feed dog with trace 802 for lightweight cloth. When the thickness of the cloth is thicker than the threshold, the CPU controls and drives the main motor and the cloth feed motor and drives the feed dog with trace 902 for winter-weight cloth. With the trace 902 for winter-weight cloth, a start timing of the feed dog operation conveying the cloth is later than the trace 802 for lightweight cloth. With the trace 902 for winter-weight cloth, a termination timing of the feed dog operation conveying the cloth is later than the trace 802 for lightweight cloth. |
