The invention relates to an electrical unit (1) comprising a rotating electrical synchronous machine (2) which is connected to a power supply system (3). The machine (2) is connected to the power supply system (3) by means of an AC/DC converter unit (4) directly by way of a high-voltage direct-current transmission line (5). A first embodiment makes provision for the AC/DC converter unit (4) to comprise a transformer (6), which can be connected directly to the machine (2), and a high-voltage AC/DC converter (7) which can be connected to the high-voltage direct-current transmission line (5). A further embodiment makes provision for the AC/DC converter unit (4) to comprise a machine-end AC/DC converter (8), which can be connected directly to the machine (2), and a DC/DC converter (9) which can be connected directly to the AC/DC converter (8) and directly to the high-voltage direct-current transmission line (5). |
