<p>This vehicle control device for controlling a vehicle includes: a route detection unit that detects a route to a destination; a travel load computation unit that computes travel load information for the route; and a travel plan computation unit that calculates a travel plan including drive modes in each section of the route, on the basis of the route and the travel load information for the route.
