PURPOSE: A method for recrystallizing a crude pigment particle is provided to control the size of a pigment particle by an acid pasting method, thereby manufacturing the pigment particle with a particle size useful for manufacturing an LCD color filter. CONSTITUTION: A method for recrystallizing a crude pigment particle comprises a step of dissolving a crude pigment particle into one or more mixtures selected from strong sulfuric acid, chlorosulfonic acid, trichloroacetic acid, and sulfonic acid; a step of dropping the pigment solution into an organic solvent with a polarity index of 2.0-5.0 and recrystallizing pigment particles; and a step of filtering the pigment. The organic pigment is phthalocyanine-based organic pigment. The organic solvent is propylene glycol monoether acetate. |
