PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a display trouble which may be caused when a common electrode is simplified.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises: a first substrate 11 and a second substrate 12 arranged facing each other; a common electrode 13 provided substantially entire on one face of the first substrate; a segment electrode 14 provided on one face of the second substrate; a routing line 19 provided on the one face of the second substrate and connected to the segment electrode; a liquid crystalline resin film 17 having no conductivity and provided on the one face of the second substrate; and a liquid crystal layer 20 provided between the first substrate and the second substrate and twist-aligned between the first substrate and the second substrate. The liquid crystalline resin film has a refractive index anisotropy substantially equal to that of a liquid crystal material of the liquid crystal layer, is twist-aligned, and is arranged so as to fill at least a portion between the routing line and the common electrode. The liquid crystal layer is arranged so as to fill at least a portion between the segment electrode and the common electrode. |
