PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a shock absorber and to assure strength of an outer shell in which a cylindrical body and a pinching member are integrally formed using synthetic resin, and to reduce a weight of the outer shell.SOLUTION: A shock absorber D includes an outer shell 1 connected to a wheel side and a piston rod 2 connected to a vehicle body side. The outer shell 1 includes a cylindrical body 3 in which the piston rod 2 is inserted for coming in/out, a pair of pinching members 6L and 6R which stand along an axial direction from an outer periphery on an wheel side of the cylindrical body 3 to face each other, and a spring receiver 4 which is attached to the outer periphery on a vehicle body side of the cylindrical body 3. The shock absorber is connected to the wheel side through the pair of pinching members 6L and 6R. Connection members 5L and 5R are bridged between the pinching members 6L and 6R and the spring receiver 4 respectively. The pinching members 6L and 6R, the spring receiver 4, the connection members 5L and 5R, and the cylindrical body 3 are integrally formed using synthetic resin. |
