The wheel (100) has a base wheel (1) and a counter wheel (2) that is stationary and rotatably fastened to the base wheel. The wheels comprise toothed rings (10, 20) with teeth (11, 21) at outer peripheral sections (U1, U2), where the teeth include an equal outer diameter (D) for the formation of a commonly divided running surface for an operative-side transmission of a rotational movement. The wheels are rotated against each other under deformation of a resilient attenuation arrangement, and a relative scope phase of teeth is adjusted in relaxed state of the attenuation arrangement. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an internal combustion engine (2) a method for assembling a cam shaft wheel.
