PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biometric authentication device and a control device that do not cause deterioration in authentication precision.SOLUTION: A biometric authentication device comprises: an image sensor that detects biometric information and external light; an external light detection unit that sets an external light level on the basis of the external light detected by the image sensor; and an authentication unit that changes priority of identity authentication using the biometric information detected by the image sensor in accordance with the external light level, and performs identity authentication at the changed priority using the biometric information detected by the image sensor.
