PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reliable tracking of an object with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A monitoring device 10 includes an imaging element 24 for imaging an object, a position detection element 26 having a light receiving surface on which light is incident and a plurality of output terminals 34, 34, 34, 34provided on the light receiving surface to output a signal corresponding to resistance length up to an incident position of light, and a mirror 28A, on which light reflected by the object is incident, for transmitting the light to the imaging element 24 and the position detection element 26. Then, the monitoring device 10 calculates a centroid position in the light receiving surface of the light made incident on the position detection element 26 by using a centroid position calculation part 30 on the basis of current outputted from the plurality of output terminals 34, 34, 34, 34belonging to the position detection element 26. |
