PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operating efficiency of a water-decomposing device for decomposing water by using a semiconductor photocatalyst activated by sunlight.SOLUTION: In a water decomposing system 1 including a water decomposing device 3 including a pair of electrodes, one of which supports a semiconductor photocatalyst, and an electrolytic solution tank for storing an electrolytic solution to be decomposed by utilizing energy of sunlight with which the semiconductor photocatalyst is irradiated, and a device 10 of circulating an electrolytic solution for circulating the electrolytic solution from outside to the water decomposing device 3, solar insolation intensity to the water decomposing device 3 is measured by a solar insolation intensity meter 20, and an amount of the electrolytic solution to be circulated to the water decomposing device 3 is controlled by an electrolytic solution circulation controller 30 according to the solar insolation intensity measured. |
