PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission system capable of suppressing reduction in power transmission efficiency.SOLUTION: A power transmission system for transmitting electric energy from a power transmission antenna 140 to a power reception antenna 210 through an electromagnetic field comprises: an inverter unit 130 for converting DC voltage to AC voltage having a predetermined frequency, and outputting the AC voltage; a power transmission side control unit 150 for controlling so that a power value output from the inverter unit 130 is constant, by controlling a drive frequency in the inverter unit 130 and a voltage value of the input DC voltage; the power transmission antenna 140 to which the AC voltage from the inverter unit 130 is input; a rectification unit 220 for rectifying output from the power reception antenna 210 to DC voltage; a step-up/down unit 230 for stepping up or stepping down the DC voltage output from the rectification unit 220, and outputting the stepped-up/down voltage; a battery charged with output from the step-up/down unit 230; and a power reception side control unit 250 for controlling the battery to perform charging by a maximum power value by controlling the step-up/down unit 230. |
