PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a honeycomb structure capable of detecting after which step a defect of the honeycomb structure occurs and more properly correcting each of manufacturing steps.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a honeycomb structure 70 having a plurality of through holes 70a whose end parts are sealed, the method includes three or more inspection steps T101 or others of the honeycomb structure 70 after different manufacturing steps P101 for manufacturing the honeycomb structure 70, inspections of the same inspection article is carried out two times or more by all the inspection steps T101 or others. The inspection steps 101 or others are carried out after three or more manufacturing steps 101 or others of the honeycomb structure 70, the inspections of the same inspection article are repeated at least two times in the inspection steps T101 or others. Consequently, it becomes possible to inspect after which manufacturing step a defect occurs and to more properly correct each of the manufacturing steps in detecting the defect in the honeycomb structure 70 as a result of the inspection steps. |
