PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost dust cover for ball joints, which can give a warning that the amount of wear of a lip has reached a predetermined amount.SOLUTION: A body 26 of a tubular dust cover 20 includes: a first end part 29 having a first inner peripheral lip 34 fitted onto a shaft part 21 of a ball stud 19, and a second inner peripheral lip 35; and a second end part fitted and fixed to a socket. The inner diameter part (the inner diameter part 36a of the annular plate 36 of a core metal 27) of the core metal 27 embedded in the first end part 29 is arranged in the first inner peripheral lip 34. When the first inner peripheral lip 34 is worn more, the inner diameter part of the core metal 27 is exposed to be brought into sliding contact with the rotating shaft part 21. Abnormal noise (metal contact noise) to be generated by the sliding contact warns a driver. |
