PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and installation for inexpensively and continuously producing a coarse-grained ammonium sulfate product from an ammonium sulfate solution while maintaining a high production yield.SOLUTION: In a method in which a crystallizer 1 operates in accordance with the DTB (Draft Tube Baffle) principle and has an internal suspension circuit and a clarifying zone 3, from which a clarified partial flow of solution is constantly drawn off into an external circuit 7, is heated in a heat exchanger 9 so as to dissolve the solids contained therein, and is then guided back as a clear solution into the lower region 2 of the crystallizer 1, in order to ensure production of a product crystallizate with a grain coarseness which is practically constant over time, a fine crystal suspension flow may be drawn off from the clarifying zone 3 as a further partial flow and guided back into the internal circuit of the crystallization stage without any previous dissolution of the solid proportion contained therein. |
