PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pump having no influence on rotation of an impeller when a foreign matter enters from an external part, and cooling water leaked out to the periphery of a rotary shaft from the pump side provided with the impeller is pooled in a water reservoir part under the rotary shaft, and flows backward from the water storage part.SOLUTION: A water pump 1 includes an impeller 11 arranged in one side of a rotary shaft 7 rotatably supported by a body 4 having a first space 25 where cooling water flows, and a seal member 9 for stopping the cooling water around the rotary shaft 7. The water pump 1 includes a water storage part 21 for storing the cooling water leaked out to a second space 26 opposite the first space 25, and a drainage hole 12 formed between the second space 26 and the water storage part 21. The body 4 is supported by a first support member 3 with a drain hole 22 and a second support member 15 for closing an opening of the drain hole 22. The leaked cooling water pooled in the water reservoir part 21 is discharged to the outside from a contact surface 23 between the first support member 3 and the second support member 15 via the drain hole 22. |
