PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor which is reduced in size and is enhanced in performance as a result of increasing a designing volume ratio without increasing a spiral lap in the number of turns and decreasing a discharge port in diameter.SOLUTION: There is provided a scroll compressor in which a pair of a fixed scroll 18 on which a spiral laps 18B, 19B are provided on an end plate in a standing manner and a turning scroll 19 are engaged with each other to form a compression chamber 20 and a discharge port 26 for discharging a refrigerant gas compressed in the compression chamber 20 is provided in a central position of the fixed scroll 18. In a backside wall of an inner circumferential end of the spiral lap 19B in the turning scroll 19, there is provided a projecting wall 30 for delaying the timing when the backside wall crosses the discharge port 26 and allows a compression chamber 20 just outside a central-side compression chamber 20A to communicate with the discharge port 26. |
