PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing coke usable under high temperature environment such as a blast furnace, using humic acid as a caking additive; and to provide the coke obtained thereby.SOLUTION: A method for producing coke comprises a step of preparing an aqueous humate solution by adding an aqueous alkali solution to humic acid, and thereafter adjusting viscosity of the aqueous humate solution to 50-50,000 cP; and a step of mixing the viscosity-adjusted aqueous humate solution with coal, then conducting pressure forming, and thereafter dry-distilling the press-formed matter. According to the method, coke usable under high temperature environment such as a blast furnace can be produced. |
