PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding apparatus capable of accurately supplying water to a contact region of a grinding wheel member with a processing face, and smoothly rotating a rotary shaft.SOLUTION: A grinding apparatus 1 includes a rotary shaft 55 with an axial direction laterally disposed, a grinding wheel 2 mounted to a front end face 55a of the rotary shaft 55, and a water supply nozzle 60 supplying water to the grinding wheel 2. The grinding wheel 2 includes a disk member 3 mounted to the rotary shaft 55, and a ring-like grinding wheel member 4 fixed to an outer peripheral edge of a front face of the disk member 3. A ring-like wall 12 is protruded along an inner periphery surface of the grinding wheel member 4 on the front face of the disk member 3, and on the wall 12, there are formed feed holes 13 penetrating in the radial direction of the disk member 3, and water is supplied to the inside of the wall 12 from the water supply nozzle 60. |
