PLANT STOMATA REGULATION RELATED PROTEIN GABR1 AND CODING GENE AND USE THEREOF

Disclosed are a plant stomata regulation related protein GABR1 and coding gene and use thereof. The protein provided is a protein of the following (a) or (b): (a) a protein consisting of the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID No: 1; (b) a protein derived from SEQ ID No: 1 by substitution, deletion and/or addition of one or several amino acid residues in the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, and related to the stomata regulation. Introducing the GABR1 gene provided into a plant by using any vector capable of introducing exogenous gene to express in plant, the transgenic plant obtained exhibits rapid stomata regulation movement and thus prompts drought tolerance by closing stomata and reducing dehydration. Knocking out (or silencing) the GABR1 gene via any knock-out technique for plant gene, the plant shows the characteristics of quick dehydration and drought-sensitive. The GABR1 gene has an obvious main function of regulating stomata movement, and presents in plant in a single copy, and can be used in genetic engineering breeding, and is helpful in breeding new crop varieties.
