The device has a guide roller (5) axially arranged parallel to a plate cylinder (1), where the plate cylinder is assigned to a blanket cylinder (2) over bearer rings (3) that are provided with bearer ring cleaners. An inlet guard (8) is provided in a cylinder gap formed by the plate- and blanket cylinders. The guide roller is movably arranged by guide unit against an effect of a clockwork mechanism. The guide unit together with a bearer ring cleaning unit is assigned to a housing (10) as a functional unit, where the housing is swingable by bearing shafts (11).
