PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pump having no influence on rotation of an impeller when a foreign matter enters from an external part, and cooling water leaked out to the periphery of a rotary shaft from the pump side provided with the impeller is pooled in a water reservoir part under the rotary shaft, and flows backward from a discharge passage of the cooling water.SOLUTION: A water pump 1 includes an impeller 11 arranged in one side of a rotary shaft 7 rotatably supported by a body 4 having a first space 25 where cooling water flows, and a seal member 9 for blocking the cooling water around the rotary shaft 7, and includes a water storage part 21 for storing the cooling water leaked out to a second space 26 opposite the first space 25, a drainage hole 12 formed between the second space 26 and the water storage part 21, a fixing member 3 for fixing the body 4, and bolts 30 for joining both members by joining parts 20. The leaked cooling water pooled in the water reservoir part 21 is guided under the body 4, and is discharged to the outside from a joining surface 28 between a flange part 32 of the bolt 30 and the body 4 in a position where the bolt 30 is arranged. |
