PURPOSE: An extruding apparatus for a magnesium alloy is provided to remarkably reduce extruding pressure, to improve an extruding speed, and to prevent the generation of oxidation on the surface of a product. CONSTITUTION: An extruding apparatus for a magnesium alloy includes a container (100), a ram (200), a mold part (300), and a backer (400). The container contains a magnesium alloy billet. The ram pressurizes the billet in the container in a direction for extrusion. The mold part molds the billet pressurized by the ram into a desired shape. The backer supports the mold part. The mold part comprises a bridge and a die. The die is supported by the bridge, and has a mandrel for molding the billet into an extruded product which has a hollow portion inside. |
