PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film sheet for gap adjustment capable of easily and reliably performing gap adjustment between a sensor head and a scale and tilt adjustment of the sensor head at a low cost, and a linear scale gap adjustment method using the same.SOLUTION: A film sheet 31 for gap adjustment with low friction layers 33 and 34 formed on both faces is used. The method for gap adjustment has a first procedure for inserting the film sheet 31 for gap adjustment into a gap G between a sensor head 12 and a scale 13, a second procedure for moving the sensor head 12 together with a bracket 15 in the direction of the scale 13, pressing the film sheet 31 for gap adjustment onto the scale 13 by the sensor head 12, thereby sandwiching the film sheet 31 for gap adjustment with the sensor head 12 and the scale 13 to adjust the gap G, a third procedure for fixing the bracket 15 to a movable part 15 in this state, and a fourth procedure for extracting the film sheet 31 for gap adjustment from the gap G. |
