PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven or knitted fabric that is excellent in deep color property and water absorption property, has washing durability and anti-frosting property, and is for applications of clothing capable of being washed at home, and to provide a method for producing the woven or knitted fabric.SOLUTION: The woven or knitted fabric comprises, on the surface thereof, urethane-based resin, acrylic resin, shellac resin, hydrophilic resin having a hydrophilic group, and cross-linkable resin having a methylol group are attached. The woven or knitted fabric has a deep colorability (L* value) of 12.0 or less, an anti-frosting property of the third grade or higher, a water absorption of 10 seconds or less according to the JIS L-1096A method, and a deep colorability change (&Dgr;L* value) of 0.5 or less after 5 times washing treatment according to the JIS L-0217 103 method. |
