PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for manufacturing a stranded wire, the device being reduced in size and costs, capable of suppressing the stranded wire manufactured thereby from becoming unstranded as well, and a method for manufacturing a stranded wire.SOLUTION: The device for manufacturing a stranded wire comprises: a first holding member 43 (one holding member) on one side, the member collectively holding a folding back part 2A (a terminal part on one side) of a wire 2; and a pair of second holding members 53 (a plurality of rotary holding members) individually holding terminal parts 2D and 2E on the other side of the wire 2, the members 53 rotating a first wire part 2B and a second wire part 2C. While the first holding member 43 holds the folding back part 2A and suppresses its rotation, the second holding members 53 twist the first wire part 2B and the second wire part 2C by rotating them for a prescribed times. Then, the first wire part 2B and the second wire part 2C are stranded together by making the first holding member 43 stop suppressing the rotation of the folding back part 2A. |
