PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical cell capable of suppressing internal resistance, ensuring excellent electric capacitance, and suppressing short-circuit, by a simple structure.SOLUTION: A hybrid capacitor 1 includes a positive electrode 2, a negative electrode 3 oppositely disposed to the positive electrode 2 and an electrolyte 6 in which the positive electrode 2 and the negative electrode 3 are immersed. The positive electrode 2 and/or the negative electrode 3 is formed in a rectangular shape equipped with short sides and long sides, and a penetrating portion 10 for penetrating in the thickness direction of the positive electrode 2 and/or the negative electrode 3. All longitudinal direction one side end portions a of the penetrating portions 10 are formed so as to face at least one side B, C, D except for a vertical direction lower end side A of the positive electrode and/or the negative electrode 3. The longitudinal length of the penetrating portion 10 is made to be less than the short side length of the positive electrode 2 and/or the negative electrode 3, and the penetrating portion 10 is formed so as to dispose the one side end portion a facing one side on the vertical direction upper side in regard to the other side end portion b which does not face the one side. |
