A connector (1) is provided with a connector housing (2) that has a plurality of terminal-insertion chambers (3, 4) partitioned off by top walls (3a), bottom walls (3b, 4b, 11b, 12b), and side walls (3c, 4c, 11c, 12c). Lances (13, 14) are supported by the same side, namely the bottom wall (11b, 12b), of each terminal-insertion chamber (3, 4). Bottom walls (11b, 12b) are provided with notches (15) that prevent interference with the lances (13, 14) when the lances (13, 14) bend in the direction that would take said lances (13, 14) out of the terminal-insertion chambers (3, 4). When terminals (20) are inserted into the terminal-insertion chambers (3, 4), the lances (13, 14) bend in the aforementioned direction, and when the terminals (20) are inserted to full-insertion positions, the lances (13, 14) un-bend and lock the terminals (20) in place. |
