摘要 A backlight for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device is provided to enable parasitic capacity to be formed between a neighboring metal material and an LED(Light Emitting Diode) lamp by an electric field by installing the LED lamp and restrain the generation of a variation of brightness between display areas of an LCD panel corresponding to the high voltage party and low voltage party of the LED lamp with a leakage current, thereby securing brightness quality. A backlight for an LCD device comprises an LED lamp(120), a light diffusing unit(130), and a support member(140). The LED lamp is formed to enable a low voltage-sided electrode portion(121) to be disposed further away from a high voltage-sided electrode portion(122) from the center of the display area(111) of an LCD panel(110). The light diffusing unit is disposed between the LCD panel and the LED lamp to diffuse the light of the LED lamp. The support member supports the light diffusing unit and the LED lamp so as to be spaced from each other.
