PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for inspecting an edge surface of a laminated sheet material by detecting a small protrusion with high accuracy even in the small protrusion of a core material located between the core material and material having low surface reflectance laminated on both surfaces of the core material, and accordingly a device for inspecting a small core material burr by detecting the small core material burr buried in an active material or the like on a cut surface of sheet material for a secondary battery electrode.SOLUTION: The device for inspecting an edge surface of a laminated sheet material includes an observation part, a light source part, an image recording part and a protrusion detection part. The observation part is arranged so as to be able to observe an edge surface from a direction almost perpendicular to an edge line of a core material edge part on an extension line of a principal plane of sheet material, and the light source part includes a first light source part arranged so as to form a first principal plane side incident angle α1 tilted toward the first principal plane with respect to an observation optical axis connecting the observation part and an area to be observed to irradiate light, and a second light source part arranged so as to form a second principal plane side incident angle α2 tilted toward a second principal plane with respect to the observation optical axis connecting the observation part and the area to be observed to irradiate light. |
