PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide vectors and methods for the production of influenza viruses suitable as recombinant influenza vaccines in cell culture, and bi-directional expression vectors for use in a multi-plasmid influenza virus expression system.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for production of a temperature sensitive (ts) influenza viruses comprising: (a) a step of introducing at least one mutation on a position which causes an amino acid substitution selected from the group consisting of specific sequences, into a B type influenza virus genome; (b) and a step of replicating the mutant influenza virus genome under a condition producing viruses.
