The present invention determines a spot position in image data for which imaging of detection intensity in a carrier has been carried out, extracts a pixel group corresponding to that spot, calculates a ratio or difference between a median value for detection intensity in that extracted pixel group and a median value for detected intensity in a group in which an upper prescribed proportion and/or a lower prescribed proportion of pixels have been eliminated from that pixel group, and determines whether reliability is good or bad on the basis of the calculated ratio or difference and a prescribed standard value.
