PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing damage on a photoconductor drum and a developer carrier while reducing running costs, and reducing the size of the image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: In a color printer, a developing unit 16 including a developing frame 98 supporting a developing roller 26 and a unit frame 25 is configured to be removably attached to a body casing, while a drum unit supporting a photoconductor drum 21 is accommodated in the body casing. The developing frame 98 is held by the unit frame 25 to be movable between a proximity position where the developing roller 26 comes close to or contacts the photoconductor drum 21, and a separation position where the developing roller 26 separates from the photoconductor drum 21. |
