PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a mirror-finished aluminum material which can mirror-finish the surface of an aluminum member to which predetermined flatness and roundness have been imparted by mechanical mirror finishing work without detriment to the flatness and roundness of the aluminum member and a mirror-finished aluminum material obtained by the method.SOLUTION: A method for producing a mirror-finished aluminum material is used for mirror-finishing the surface of an aluminum member to which predetermined flatness and roundness have been imparted by mechanical mirror finishing work. In the method, after the mechanical mirror finishing work, scratches produced by the mechanical mirror finishing work are subjected to R-chamfering work by performing anodic electrolysis carried out under treatment conditions of an electrolytic voltage of 17-40 V, an initial current density of 3,000 A/mor more, and a steady-state current density of 300-500 A/dmin an electrolytic bath containing perchloric acid. |
