PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduction method of a selenic acid compound for effectively reducing a selenic acid ion that is conventionally difficult to reduce, nearly at normal temperature and neutral without the influence of dissolved oxygen in an aqueous solution.SOLUTION: A reduction method of a selenic acid compound in an aqueous solution that contains the selenic acid compound includes adding a reductant to the aqueous solution, and culturing a selenic acid reduction bacterium under the coexistence of the reductant.
