Provided is a rubber composition for a tire having an unprecedented level of enhanced workability together with low rolling resistance and good dry performance and wet performance. The present invention is characterized in comprising silica blended in an amount of 90-150 mass parts per 100 mass parts diene-based rubber containing at least 25 mass% modified conjugated diene-based polymer rubber having a siloxane structure in at least part of the terminal modifying groups, and comprising a silane coupling agent blended in an amount of 3-20 mass% in relation to the silica amount, and an alkyl triethoxysilane having C7-20 alkyl groups blended in an amount of 0.1-20 mass% in relation to the silica amount.
