This system design assistance device comprises: an analysis means for computing from a plurality of design data which represents an information processing system configuration a plurality of indices which represents a standard of service of the system; an input means for receiving an input of target values with respect to the indices; a correction means for receiving an input of a correction with respect to the design data; an evaluation means for computing, using a weighting which corresponds to the target values, an evaluation value of the plurality of indices with respect to the plurality of target values; a selection means for selecting by the evaluation value the design data in which the plurality of indices is closest to the plurality of target values; a weighting adjustment means for computing a deviation between each target value and the index which corresponds to the target value of the design data for which the correction is carried out, and for changing the weighting such that the contribution to the evaluation value of the index with the large deviation is reduced vis-à-vis the contribution to the evaluation value of the index with the small deviation; and an output means for outputting the design data which the selection means has selected by the evaluation value after the change of weighting.
