Provided are an information processing device and the like whereby an image can be displayed on a display means even when a need has arisen to restart the actual OS executing the application for displaying the image on the display means. In a virtualisation environment, at least a first OS and a second OS are operational. When a first application for displaying an image on the display means is run on the first OS, if it is detected that a need has arisen to restart the first OS, a second application is run on the second OS to cause an image for use on restarting to be displayed on the display means at least until restarting of the first OS has been completed.
