PURPOSE: A subsidiary diagnosis system for breast mass analysis in an electromagnetic breast image and a method thereof are provided to enable objective analysis and interpretation of breast mass by generating a standard map using the electromagnetic breast phantom image and the analyzing and visualizing the size and information of the mass. CONSTITUTION: A subsidiary diagnosis system includes a standard map generation module(110), a preprocessing module(120), a mass dividing module(130), a matching module(140) and a feature extraction module(150). The standard map generation module generates a standard map. The standard map is divided into four quadrants on the basis of a breast phantom image, and each quadrant is divided into 9 sections according to the angle and the distance from a center. The preprocessing module performs preprocessing of removing noise in the breast phantom image. The mass dividing module generates a mass image by dividing a mass region by comparing the feature values for an adjacent pixels of a seed pixel predetermined in the breast phantom image. The matching module matches the mass image and the standard map. The feature extraction module calculates the position and the size of the mass, and a ratio of the mass occupied in each section of the standard map image on the basis of the mass image.
