PURPOSE: A device for controlling power supply of an SBC(Single Board Computer) and a method thereof are provided to supply power, which is charged in a charging unit, to the SBC when main power is blocked, thereby eliminating inconvenience of exchanging a battery. CONSTITUTION: When a main power device of electronic equipment is turned on, a power control unit(220) converts power into charging voltage by receiving the power from the main power device. A charging unit(250) charges the charging voltage. When the main power device is turned on, the charging voltage is supplied to an SBC. The power control unit allows or blocks power supply from the main power device by using an opto-coupler. When the power is supplied from the main power device, the opto-coupler allows power supply from the main power device. When the power is blocked, the opto-coupler blocks power supply from the main power device.
