A keypad and a mobile terminal device employing the same are provided to reduce designing costs and maintenance costs compared with the method by using a magnet and an IC controller. A jog type keypad(250) slidably moves according to user manipulation, to which keypad terminals(230) are connected. Main body terminals(220) come in contact with the keypad terminals which move according to the movement of the keypad. A microcomputer recognizes the direction of the movement of the keypad through the contact. The keypad terminals are installed at an FPCB(Flexible Printed Circuit Board)(240) positioned under the keypad. The main body terminals are installed on a PCB within a terminal and folded in a bent state by being pressed by the keypad within an elastic range. The main body terminals have a plate shape. |
