The arrangement has a controller that is coupled to a position determining system. A storage unit stores storage position of seeds (36). A seed sensor (58) detects the actual placement position of the seeds in the groove (38). The controller controls the drive (34) of row unit (14) based on signals of the position determining system, storage unit and seed sensor so that the seeds are successively stored in the storage positions. An independent claim is included for method for precision sowing of seeds.
