An ultrasonic probe, which transmits ultrasonic vibrations from a proximal end to a distal end, includes a probe body including an outer peripheral portion provided along a longitudinal axis, and a void defining surface defining a void, which extends from a first perpendicular direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis toward a second perpendicular direction opposite to the first perpendicular direction, in the probe body. The void is defined along the longitudinal axis from a first anti-node position of the ultrasonic vibrations to a second anti-node position of the ultrasonic vibrations different from the first anti-node position. At least a first-perpendicular-direction-side end of the void defining surface being continuous with the outer peripheral portion of the probe body. |
