<p>A determining unit (101) notifies a user data separating unit (103) and spreading units (105-1 to 105-n) that code multiplexing is to be made, when a plurality of spread codes can be secured. The user data separating unit (103) separates user data, and passes the separated data to the spreading units (105-1 to 105-n). The spreading units (105-1 to 105-n) spread the user data with the spread codes different from one another.
