PURPOSE: An ice-making device and method using an independent sensing method are provided to accurately perform ice separation by independently sensing ice separation and the reach of an ice case to a rotational limit. CONSTITUTION: An ice-making device using an independent sensing method comprises two limit magnets (150A, 150B), an ice separation magnet (120B), and a sensing unit (160). The limit magnets are installed on a cam (110) to limit the rotational displacement of an ice case. The ice separation magnet is arranged on one side of a cam interlocking lever (120) to sense ice separation. The sensing unit is arranged on one side of an ice separation device and comprises two sensors (160A, 160B) to separately sense the limit magnets and the ice separation magnet. The ice separation and the reach of the ice case to a rotational limit are independently sensed. |
