[Class 65(ii)] A ball and socket joint comprises a stud 22 disposed in a housing 11, and a bearing assembly including anti-friction elements 36 arranged between the housing and the stud, one race 30 of the assembly being tiltable on a surface 14 in the housing, and the other race 32 being tiltable on a surface 26 on the stud. A bearing plate 42 is pressed by a spring 40 against the rounded end of the stud to maintain the parts in engagement. A lubricator 43 is provided. |
