Provided are an apparatus and a method for displaying a three-dimensional (3D) object. The apparatus may include a photographing unit to photograph the face of a user from a plurality of directions and to output facial data, a generating unit to generate facial proportion data from the outputted facial data, a storage unit to store the facial proportion data of the user for each photographed direction, and a control unit to determine a line of sight of the user by comparing the stored facial proportion data with photographic data of the user currently taken by the photographing unit and to generate a 3D object having a vanishing point varying depending on the determined line of sight of the user. |
