摘要 PURPOSE: A method and a system to control a heat pump system for vehicles are provided to variably control only compressor in case the rotating number of the compressor is less than the upper limit and to operate the compressor and an electric heating heater only when the rotating number of the compressor reaches the upper limit for satisfying a target discharge temperature in a heat pump mode. CONSTITUTION: A method to control a heat pump system for vehicles comprises the following steps: determining whether or not in an air conditioner mode or in a heat pump mode according to selections of a target discharge temperature or a passenger (S2); calculating the variation between the target discharge temperature and an indoor discharge temperature in case of the heat pump mode (S3); calculating the rotating number of a compressor according to the variations (S4); controlling the compressor by the rotating number according to the calculated variations if the rotating number is less than the upper limit of the maximum rotating number of the compressor (S6); determining whether or not the target discharge temperature is greater than the indoor discharge temperature if the rotating number is not less than the upper limit of the maximum rotating number of the compressor (S7); and controlling an electric heating heater while the compressor is operated if the target discharge temperature is greater than the indoor discharge temperature (S8).
