<p>The method involves supplying chromatographic test strip having four zones for taking up eluent, for application of sample containing analyte and binding partner with specificity for the analyte, for optical detection of analyte and for taking up excess eluent, and optionally a housing. A wiping element is designed to take up a sample of analyte. The test element and/or the wiping element are provided with analyte transfer reagent containing analyte-unspecific substance selected from group consisting of protein, protein mixture, carbohydrate and sugar alcohol. The analyte-specific binding partner is made of antibody or functional antibody fragment. The sample preparation unit is made of chemical substance selected from the group consisting of acid, base, buffer, organic solvent and detergent. A mechanical unit is a tissue sample and/or non-woven. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a test element for determining analytes; (2) a wiping unit for receiving analyte from surface; and (3) a kit for determining analytes.</p> |
