METHOD OF MAKING ECCENTRIC TRANSITION BETWEEN PIPES

FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and may be used in making eccentric transitions in large-diameter pipes got heat exchangers. Right cone-like billet is produced to make truncated eccentric cone with smaller- and larger-diameter bases and taper surface one line of which being perpendicular to said bases. Truncated eccentric cone billet is produced by cutting the ends of right cone. Eccentric transition is produced by flanging larger and smaller diameters with the help of female and male dies. Note here that for smaller diameter flanging truncated eccentric cone billet is arranged vertically with smaller diameter atop. Note also that female die is arranged around smaller diameter to contact with billet outer surface at least four points. Note that male die in displaced inside smaller diameter parallel with the line of taper surface perpendicular to aforesaid bases. In flanging larger diameter male die is used instead of female die and female die instead of male die.EFFECT: expanded performances.7 dwg
