PURPOSE: A position holding method of a floating structure having multiple elements is provided to enable the stable operation thereof by minimizing the malfunction of a floating structure. CONSTITUTION: A position holding method of a floating structure having multiple elements is as follows. A control unit confirms whether a malfunction sensing signal is received from a malfunction sensing unit connected to an operation unit (160) and a measurement unit (180). If the malfunction sensing signal is received from the operation unit or the measurement unit, the control unit disconnects the malfunction sensing unit from the operation unit or the measurement unit. The control unit tries the connection with an auxiliary operation unit or an auxiliary measurement unit for assisting the operation unit and the measurement unit.
